A Scrapbook Page a Day During the Month of May: No. 22

Here is another quick layout which features a decorative element that was formerly a pin that I turned into a fun embellishment. Can you guess what it is??? If you guessed the little copper house, then you are correct!

By simply adding a vertical strip of coordinating cardstock, attached with evenly spaced copper brads, the horizontally striped background paper becomes "balanced". Tying on some orange-y colored fibers adds an additional pop of color, and the little brass key and heart lead the viewer's eye downward across the page. A nice balance of photos, journaling, color and embellishments!
