Trash-to-Treasure: From Breakfast Biscuit Box to Cute Desk Organizer

Good morning, folks! While browsing around on the internet a while back, looking for some "trash-to-treasure" craft ideas, I came upon a fun project from Katydid and Kid. She took a cereal box and transformed it into a really cute desk organizer. I decided that instead of using a cereal box I would use the sausage biscuit box that my hubby had emptied that morning:

Following the directions HERE from Katydid and Kid, (just tweaking mine a bit to work with the sausage biscuit box I was using), I created this lovely:

I LOVE how it turned out, (awesome, eh??), and I am going to make some matching accessories to coordinate with it! (Stay tuned for that post in the near future...) This would be a fun project to make with a girl scout or boy scout troop...a great way to teach them about up-cycling!

Thanks for popping by today to check out my project! Tomorrow will be a reeeeally crazy day for me...it's the first day of school for students and I'm SUPER excited to kick off the school year at my wonderful new school!

Wishing you a wonderful week, friends!

  2. Hi, Lisa!! So good to hear from you! School is going great...love my job at my new school - so blessed to be working with an AWESOME staff and with cute little kiddos again!

Can't wait to see the box that you make - it is surprisingly easy to do and a great way to use up scraps of paper! I still need to make some accessories to go with mine, but I'll get to that eventually - LOL! Hope you are having a great 3-day weekend...stay in touch! :)
