Cake Ingredients:
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup peanut butter flavored chips
Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and beat with an electric mixer until all ingredients are combined. Pour batter into a greased 9" x 13" cake pan. Add struesel topping, (recipe below), and bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.
Struesel Topping:
- 1/2 cup quick oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 2 Tablespoons flour
- 2 Tablespoons margarine, softened
This cake can be served warm or cold...it's moist and delicious either way! Enjoy!

Looks really delish! I am not a huge fan of PB but I do like banana and PB combos! Hubby is obsessed with PB so I know he will love it! LOL! Don't you just love using family as guniea pigs? I know I do too!!
